Geoff joined PW Lawyers in 2012, bringing more than twenty years' experience as a solicitor to the firm. Geoff's legal expertise covers a wide variety of areas of law, including corporate, trusts, property and superannuation law.

For almost twenty years, Geoff worked with the Permanent Trustee Co and Trust Co of Australia (which merged in 2002, and are now owned by Perpetual), holding several senior roles including Company Secretary and General Counsel.

During this time, Geoff specialised in Wills and Estates law, as well as matters relating to corporate and personal trusts, superannuation, note and debenture issues, and funds management.

These roles also granted Geoff a deep understanding of not only the complexities of these areas of the law, but how they work in operation, and most importantly in interaction with each other.

Born and raised on the North Shore, Geoff was thrilled when PW Lawyers' (then known as Proctor Willaws) then-principal John Buttfield offered him the opportunity to work in the local area, and Geoff and his unique expertise, especially that relating to trusts law has been a vital part of the team ever since.

Geoff is well known for his thorough, yet compassionate, approach to the law, and his clients are always confident that Geoff will achieve the very best possible outcome for them.
